Maddy and Harrison met in May 2019, over lunch with their friend Alexis. There were sparks right away, but one little problem—they lived on opposite coasts. A few months later they had the chance to reconnect at Alexis and Sean’s wedding and talked all night.

As fate would have it, they bumped into each other at the Wilmington train station the next day and made plans to meet up during Harrison’s work trip to Los Angeles. They had a blast driving around, going to Venice Beach and the Getty Museum, and sharing a Nutella crepe over brunch (cut precisely down the center, of course). Things grew organically from there, and despite the hurdles of distance and a worldwide pandemic—it was very easy to stay in love. Maddy moved to NYC in the summer of 2023 so that they could finally be together every day.
